About Me
Born in South Korea, I was an army brat where most of my travelling was done when I was too young to remember. Growing up in a very small town where population was around 8,000 people, you grow to be humble about what is readily available to you in terms of entertainment. After my father drew a simple horse for me when I was four years old, I instantly fell in love with the ability to draw what my imagination could come up with. I could not stop drawing. There my creativity blossomed, and I knew I had to hone in on it, it was my passion and joy.
I wanted to continue my love for creativity in a professional setting by receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts and Associate of Science in graphic design. Originally heading to college for studio art, I switched last minute to multimedia where I found a love for graphic design after taking a course for it in high school. Illustrating my creativity spread from paper to on-screen.
In 2015, I had the opportunity to begin my professional career working in a collaborative setting with a marketing team for the Boy Scouts of America in the Chicago and Indiana area. In 2018, after moving to the Dallas area, I continued my ambitions in freelancing to create projects for major events, social media settings, and provide clients with illustrations to give as gifts. Currently, I am working as a graphic designer at my local newspaper, Antigo Daily Journal.
When I’m not illustrating or designing in a professional setting, I enjoy doodling, exploring the web for useful information, and gaming. To hire me as a freelance designer or inquire about a potential job position you may have, please email me at guenthnerds@gmail.com.
